“The Clyde Hotel commissioned Victorian artist Jack Miers to create a beautiful mural to show the best of our beloved Carlton.

We made the decision after being repeatedly tagged. Melbourne City Council provided little support to stop our ongoing graffiti problem.

The message "Greetings From Carlton" celebrates the suburb that the Clyde has operated in for over a century. The mural shows off our neighbourhood: the Old Quad Clocktower, our distinctive Victorian Terraces, Lygon St's Coffee Culture, and the Royal Exhibition Buildings.”
